Avallo Multimedia and Creative Services was formed in 1996 by Julie Hamilton and Barbara Dunham. Julie had been an art director for 10 years at various agencies and companies and owned Direct Design. Barb had been a corporate executive and owned a tax business company named Refund Investigators.  The vision of Avallo was to bring Julie’s creative talents and Barb’s business knowledge together and enter into the relatively new area of Internet web design.

Almost immediately, Avallo become known for making gorgeous and creative websites when most were text orientated and had few graphics.  As the company grew, so did Internet technologies. As the word got out about Avallo, our client base grew, and we worked not only in print and web design, but added advertising strategy and branding as well.

In 2005, both tragedy and great joy came to Avallo. Barb became ill and passed away after a short illness. Julie took over as full owner and looked to take Avallo's business technology to a new level. She hired Weston Shaw as a programmer. With Weston's expertise, Avallo took on more complex database projects and Julie was thrilled to have someone who could create her marketing and creative visions.

At the end of 2006, Avallo moved to Maple Grove from Plymouth. The new location made room for a multimedia conference area and increased our capacity. The future is bright for Avallo. In 2009, we launched a new custom content management system for websites called Avallo Panel. We also launched a new site that includes a blog and lots of technology updates. We are excited for another outstanding year in 2010.
