Setting Up E-mail in Apple Mail

  1. In Mail, go to the Mail menu and click on Preferences.
  2. Under the Accounts tab (at the top), either select the account you are editing, or select the "+" sign on the bottom left to add a new account.
  3. Enter your e-mail information:
    • Description: Account Name (will appear under "Accounts" on left.)
    • Email Address: the email address the messages will be sent from
    • Full Name: Your Name
    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
    • User Name: for your email address
    • Password: for your email address
  4. For Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), click and select Edit Server List.
  5. Under the Account Information tab, enter your server information:
    • Description: mail.yourdomain.com
    • Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com
  6. When all of your information has been updated, click the red "X" on the top left. When prompted, save your changes.
