Email Marketing

Great marketing and planning will increase your business, keep customers informed, retain good customers, raise your visibility, promote events, fill the seats and increase sales. E-mail marketing is an important part of many businesses' communications and business plans.  Best of all, e-mail marketing is faster and cheaper than most other advertising media.

But we all have received annoying e-mails that seem to arrive daily. We've all tried unsubscribing but they never seem to stop. So the question is, "How do you devise an e-mail marketing program that works, is trackable and can be analyzed for future mailings?"

Tips for a Successful E-mail Marketing Campaign

  • E-mail Marketing Compliance - It's is not the first thing customers think about, but here at Avallo we take it seriously. We comply with all US CAN SPAM rules and regulations.
  • Personalize - Don't send emails where the “from” line shows admin, no-reply, support, etc. It is a quick way for that potential customer to ignore that e-mail because they do not know where and/or who it is coming from.
  • Have a great subject line - it is critical to your campaigns. It could make the difference between your customer opening your e-mail or clicking the "delete" button. Have Avallo's copywriter write your e-mail campaign and your e-mails will get the attention they deserve.
  • Use an E-mail Service - At Avallo we use Constant Contact. Their system has addressed spam filters, has the from address as your e-mail, and is easy to use. Avallo can create custom templates for you so you don't  have to use the preformatted ones that everyone else uses. See the Constant Contact section on our Resource page for more information and contact Avallo for your custom e-mail template and campaign ideas.
  • Build a Relationship -Add a touch of your personality in your e-mails. Find out what your customers need and what can you do to help them.
  • Always Test Run - you should test every aspect of your e-mails.  Constant Contact lets you send a test e-mail. Always test links, read copy and check for typos.
  • Analyze the Results - Look at the tracking tools, notice who clicked where, how many responses you received, how many signed up, how many opened the e-mail, or how many people unsubscribed. Test multiple versions and see which e-mail had the most positive response.
