Site Structure
Good web design requires solid site architecture based on the site's goals and the target audience established in the Project Definition.
Content Outline
Working closely with our clients, we help them create a list of all existing content. This content should be put into categories and organized in a user-friendly way. Once your categories are established, an outline of the content is reviewed for accuracy.
If you choose to collect your own content, here are guidelines to gather content.
- Collect copy and photos and put into folder labeled to match the site map.
- Label each photo appropriately and text files, too.
- All print pieces for scanning or typesetting need to be labeled by page name as well.
Site Diagram or Site Map
A site diagram or site map is just a visual representation of your content outline and site structure. Avallo can help create the map or you can create your own using our Excel template. Or you could just print the pdf and fill it in.
